Some Favorite Pictures of Grandkids

After checking out these pictures of the world's most beautiful kids, you'll see why we are so proud of them all. Here is Odin being silly while his dad is trying to get him to eat.
Baby Ronin having fun at the farm.

Chloe and Phoebe in Korea. They found a small crab along the docks in Tong Yong.

Belated Anniversary Trip

This year for our anniversary we decided to rent a charter boat on Lake Erie and go fishing for walleye. Captain Todd and his first mate got us all set up for a fun day of fishing. We caught our limit as you can see. What the pictures don't show is the three hours I spent hugging the toilet (a toilet that only sees men and very little cleaning) in the tiniest bathroom I'd ever seen. The swells were quite high that day and we rolled back and forth and up and down.......Thank goodness Ron was a good fisherman and caught both our limits in record time so we could head back to the shore. Once I was back on land I was fine. So weird.
The Walleye are really delicate tasting fish and worth all the trouble (though at times I didn't think anything could be).

Ohio State Fair

My favorite part of the State Fair is the butter sculptures (only in the midwest)! This one is of all the US presidents that hail from the great state of Ohio! What is it about all that butter that makes us so happy?
Here I am in front of my favorite, the life size butter cow and calve!!!

Ron makes friends everywhere he goes.

Family Recipe in Gooseberry Patch Cookbook

Recently I submitted a recipe to Gooseberry Patch and it was included in their latest cookbook Church Suppers. It was so exciting to see "Grandma Kansas' Cinnamon Rolls" in this cookbook and know that Grandma's recipe would be shared with so many people. Our local paper also did a write up on the three women in our county that had recipes published in this cookbook. They included myself, my mom Grace-Marie and my good friend Rhoda! Congratulations ladies!

Granny, Abby and Eli's big day at the Columbus Zoo!

Here we are at the entrance to the zoo.

Abby was excited to feed the larakeets once she knew they were going to behave themselves!

Eli being gentle. Quick, take a picture!
Too nervous to ride the fake horses....

Look at the silly birds!

The pony rides at the zoo
