Hot and Humid in Ohio

Another hot day here in Ohio.  I am still working on the garden and fields but today I took a little break in the shade.  I pulled a bench under a huge maple tree and read a book for a bit.

Of course, as soon as the girls saw me they came running.....

begging for one of the goldfish crackers I was snacking on.

 

Soon the sun had moved just enough so my shade was gone.  I packed up my stuff and headed for the house and the cool basement.  No more work outside for me until the temps drop this evening!

Atlanta Break

This month we went to see the twins in Atlanta.  Oh, and Cindy and Ryan.........

We got to go to one of their soccer games.

Monday we went to the Aquarium in Atlanta.

The girls were so much fun!  We went out to eat, the movies, soccer practice and out to eat some more!  They love sushi and fried rice!  Such great girls......love them......miss them.

Floor Reveal

Remember the pics yesterday of my house in disaster mode?  This beautiful floor was the reason.  The old white carpet was torn out and replaced with this cherry Bellawood  solid wood floor.

Below is the dining room.  I took the pics early this morning before all the furniture was moved back in.

The next picture is of our living room.  We still have some trim to put in around the tile on the hearth and in the doorways. 

After these pics were taken, we spent much of the rest of the day putting furniture back in and cleaning up.  SO MUCH DUST!

Ron is still in China on his first rotation.  Check out the pics of his new city!  Way different than his offshore platform in Nigeria.
